Serving all over the globe in the 1914-18 First World War, Australian servicemen established a reputation for courage, determination, ingenuity and tough fighting qualities. Playing a key role in the Allied victory over the Central Powers, approximately 416,000 Australians
enlisted, 337,000 served overseas, with 62,000 making the ultimate sacrifice for King & Country.

Featuring the sun setting behind an Aussie digger, the 2019 ‘We Will Remember Them’ Commemorative symbolises the end of the First World War. Also graced with a full-colour depiction of the blood-red poppy – the ultimate symbol of Remembrance – this unique tribute honours ALL of Australia’s wartime heroes.
